A Secure and Flexible School Domain (USA)

The Product Overview: A start-up software company based in the United States wanted to develop a secure web portal product for sale to school communities. The web based product concept was for a domain to be able to involve and empower effective and very secure communication between the students, their parents, teachers, administrators and any other stakeholders such as School Advisory Boards and School clubs or School sports teams, in a unique holistic environment.

The Clients Requirement: They approached Ekomate with an outline design and performance specification, plus a requirement for expert IT engineering and development expertise in ASP.NET using C# the programming language in an agile environment. One of their specific requirements was (and still is today for our ongoing support work) - to provide reports and daily deliveries.

The Ekomate Solution: Ekomate applied our Spiral Model / Extreme Programming development approach due to the continuous updates and anticipated frequent changes in the requirements during the development phase. These requirements are discussed with the Ekomate developers on a day-to-day basis via Skype (voice and chat) and email. The code (developed on ASP.NET / C#) was uploaded to the client’s repository on a daily basis once the defined Quality Assurance / Quality Control approval was obtained. Ekomate has now been the IT development partner for this client for more than 6 years.
